National Day of Cuba Celebrated in New Delhi
New Delhi (India), January 24: The Cuba High Commission to India joyously celebrated the National Day of Cuba on January 16, 2024, at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi. The distinguished event welcomed the Union Minister of External Affairs (State) of India, Meenakshi Lekhi, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Senorita Issac, Trade Commissioner of the Western-India region for the LATIN AMERICAN CARIBBEAN TRADE COUNCIL and founder of the Human Achievers Foundation, graced the occasion with her presence.
Marking the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi commemorated the National Day of Cuba by unveiling a book highlighting the accomplishments of the Indian Economic Trade Organisation (IETO). The book launch took place in the esteemed presence of a Minister from the Republic of Cuba and coincided with the farewell ceremony for the outgoing Ambassador of Cuba to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin.
Dr. Senorita Issac, when asked about her perspective on the occasion, expressed her delight in being part of the celebration. She emphasized Cuba’s mission to enhance economic, political, social, and cultural integration, aiming to improve the quality of life through heightened competitiveness, production, trade, and investments.
